If reports that surfaced Tuesday are true, the Call of Duty game planned for 2023 has been delayed by Activision until 2024. Next year will be the first time in 20 years that a new Call of Duty game has not hit shelves.
According to a report from Bloomberg, part of the reason behind the decision is that “a recent entry failed to meet expectations”. Presumably, they are referring to Vanguard, which we actually liked a lot. The report stresses that the decision will not have any effect on the release of the next Modern Warfare game in 2022.
